Kirklees Library and Information Centres

 

Local libraries and information centres across Kirklees offer a range of services including: a range of fiction, non-fiction and local history books and resources, children's books and resources, computers, audiovisual resources, transcription service, talking newspaper and a 24 hour online library. Talks on a range of topics and one off computer training sessions as well as events publicising learning also take place in local libraries.
BITS (Basic Internet Technology Sessions ) @ Kirklees Libraries are:

  • Available in all Kirklees Libraries & Information Centres

  • Flexible - after an initial face-to-face session users are able to continue at their own pace and at times which are convenient to them

  • Free to all users

  • Offer tuition in basic computer skills, email, information searching, web-site evaluation, word processing, jobsearch and CV skills

All Kirklees Libraries & Information Centres provide free access to the Internet and word processing facilities for up to two hours per day for library members
